Post-Testing Advice

Thanks for choosing Guardian Testing for all of your COVID-19 testing.

You have finished your PCR nasal swab test, which can detect the COVID-19 virus in your body. Within 24 to 72 hours—depending on if you took the Priority or Standard test—you will receive the results. We are unable to provide the results of your test via phone.

In order to keep yourself and those around you as safe as possible, please consider the following recommendations:

Given that you do not know your test results, please remain at home, refrain from traveling, and stay away from public areas and other people—even if you are not experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.

If you have to be in the presence of others, or go out in a public space, wear a mask that completely covers both your nose and your mouth, and keep at least 6 feet of space between yourself and others—including inside your house.

Keep your hands clean by washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Clean and disinfect your home, especially solid surfaces like doorknobs, countertops, and appliance handles. Do not share items in your house, such as drinking cups, bed-ware, and towels.

Be aware of severe COVID-19 symptoms—including labored breathing or pain/pressure in your chest—and immediately seek care if you experience any of them.

Please keep in mind that testing negative doesn't mean you are not required to quarantine if you travel to a state that mandates quarantines, or if you have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus.
